Ridge was born on Friday the 28th of August at 4:48. He weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz and was 20 inches long. Less than 2 hours after we entered the hospital he was in my arms. He was born in the caul. This means that my water didn't break until after he came out. The midwife told us that this is considered very lucky in some cultures. He did not want to give up that swimming pool. Congratulations to the two of you! Heidi, you're a mommy--that is so wonderful! I'm trying to get to Sarah's website to see more pictures but it's not getting there. I'll keep trying. Sleep when he sleeps and I'm glad you had an excellent and fast delivery!
Congratulations! I've heard that those kinds of births, in the caul, are awesome. My sister had a friend who said in some ways it was a much smoother birth than her previous children. You're so lucky it went so fast--Craig was 15 hours! I'm hoping for less than 10 this time. :)
Congrats! He is so cute! Wish we were closer so we could come see him in person! Hope everything goes smoothly and he is a good sleeper for you! That makes a world of difference!

He looks like the sweetest little boy ever! I wish that I lived closer so I could see him in person. Do you want to plan a trip out here to see me? We have a spare bedroom that your little family could stay in. You have a baby! How neat is that?!
