Butter
I guess I am the only person on the planet that didn't make butter as a kid, so for family home evening we did it. It was awesome and it tasted yummy on our homemade bread.
Let There Be Power
Steve has been working on burying some pipe to run the cable through to get power to the land. Guess who wanted to come along to help?
Easter and General Conference. What a Combo!
The kids had plenty of fun this year finding eggs. We went to a hunt in Menan, one at the Matthew's house, and one at the Tofa's house. The Tofa's let each kid get ONLY 60 eggs each!!! Nali and Trek each got a prize egg in Menan but Ridge didn't so he was a little sad. The kids were very quick to remind me to find the "conference bag" when we started listening to the prophets. I wonder if as they grow up their favorite apostle will be based on the activity that is related to their name rather then on the teaching. Thanks Gremma for trying to help keep the kids quiet so I could listen.
Ditch Cleaning Time
It is that time of year again, the time that the fire-department must hate. Ditch burning and cleaning. The kids love to go, I don't get much done because I am always watching the kids but I hope they are learning to enjoy the work (they better because they are going to do it every year).

April Fools Day
NO CHILDREN WERE HURT OR INJURED WHILE EATING AND DRINKING DINNER TONIGHT! For April Fools dinner tonight we started with dessert. We had a cake with pink frosting (or was it meat loaf frosted with pink potatoes) and then we had the main course: an egg (or was it yogurt with a peach) and spaghetti and meatballs (or was it a cake with noodle frosting, no bake cookies, and raspberry sauce) and we finished it off with some glass cleaner (or was it blue Kool Aid). It really shook the kids world, they were so excited to start with cake, but then wouldn't eat it more than a few bites and they didn't want to try the spaghetti either. Adam and his kids were here also and his kids refused to eat. Thanks for your help Grandma Bear. Did I mention that the missionaries ate dinner with us? Fun times.
