Safety

I can't believe that Steve didn't want to take Ridge with him to scouts tonight, so what if they were learning about axe safety and how to sharpen knives;)

Snow Fun

Thanks to Cody and Avrey we spent a very fun weekend in Island Park in a yurt and on skis. I was a little nervous that I would not sleep well, being 8 months pregnant, but it was one of the best nights of sleep I had had in a long time. Ridge had a blast, he loves the snow and just being outside in general and Steve is always a good sport. We had so much fun and I cannot wait to do it again.

Website

One of my math students made this collection of videos at the following website for me, because one day I was complaining in class that I could never find the videos on youtube that I wanted to use in class, so he kept track of them all semeseter and put them here. I figured I better document it somewhere so I can find it nest time.

Ridge has a Great Dad

If Ridge could talk, he might say something like, "Hey dad what are you doing?""Do you want to play with me?""Really! A helmet! For me!""Let's go dad!""Yah!""Weeee!""More!"
But really, Steve said the whole time it was more of "Da da ma babubu wooow" and a little "giggle giggle."
As a side note, I will let this last photo show off the coat that I made for Ridge.

Happy Birthday Kym

Saving the world one diaper at a time...

Here is my latest sewing project(thank you Emma for the pattern). I have one more elastic piece to add but I needed Ridge to try it on for size. Then when I saw him, I had to take a photo of the cute little bum. Don't know if I love the idea of waching diapers yet, but we'll give it a try. These little guys are about $20 bucks each if you buy them so I think I will stick to making them, cause they are not that hard to make.

Sewing Again

When Steve is gone over night(usually scout camp), sometimes I can get some sewing done, plus I need some cute girl clothes. I know that I need pink and bows and all that goes with a little girl so I am trying to make some cute stuff now, while I still have some free time. From left to right: reversible dress (I am going to make some little bloomers to go with it that are also reversible and my thought is that the dress should be worn with one pattern out and the opposite pattern showing on the bloomers.), pink jammies, and another dress (This one I made out of Steveo's old shirt, the body of the dress is the sleeve of the shirt and the straps are the collar, then I just added the ribbon on the bottom to make it a bit cuter).

New Year's Day

Ridge got me a sled for Christmas so that I would be able to do some skiing this year, with him in tow of course. We went out for a trail run with Steveo to see if I would be able to do it without him. We all had a great time. It was so cold about 3 degrees but Ridge was so happy the whole time (unless of course we stopped skiing for a while) I think he just looks so cute in his little snowsuit.

Christmas

We spent some time in Island Park for Christmas. We were able to be with Adam and Kym and Grandma Bear. Ridge enjoyed opening presents this year. We watched a movie, ate some yummy food and even got out on the sleds to go riding. (Thanks grandma for babysitting.

Think Pink

Well the results are in and this family of motorbike, dirt, tractor loving people better get ready for the pink. The ultrasound this time was really fun, the tech took more time with us and showed us lots of things. Some of my favorite poses were the ones with her little hands behind her head (both Steveo and Ridge sleep like that) and the elbow leaning on the knee. At one point as it got closer to her face she frowned. (I don't know if I am ready for a grumpy baby;) She also showed and explained to us all kind of measurements and checks that she was doing like checking for a cleft palate, measuring the thickness of the skin behind the brain, making sure the blood flow was good in the placenta, checking out organs and all sorts of other things. We are all really excited and Steveo even picked out some cute little girl clothes and gave them to me for Christmas.

Just Like Dad

Look at these two happy guys. What could be bringing them so much pleaure? They are looking at Craigslist, if I remember correctly photos of motorbikes and tractors. Boys. This is the reason that Ridge learned to crawl up on the coffee table to look out the window.
