Some of the friends in the area decided it would be fun to do a craft day once a month to allow the girls some time to get together. I signed up to host in November then I got really worried because I realized that I am not a crafty person. It did turn out good, I think, a few friends came over and we sewed reversible dresses for little girls as part of a humanitarian project.
I competed in the Rush Triatholon this year again, this time I was part of a team, I did the swim portion. (I didn't know if I would be ready to do the whole thing after having a baby in May, I probably made a good decision to do it as a team.) Our team did a great job, and maybe next year we will do it all again only next time solo. Take note of our awesome team number 203, what a great number it looked like WON from the side. Look out bug eyes! Of course I must mention my bet fan, Ridge was there to cheer me on, in his Santa jammies.
I finally grew my first zucchini!Even though our garden has suffered this year we did get a few things that I have never grown before, looks like we might get 2 peppers, a cucumber and those two beautiful zucchini. I know that it is weird because everyone else seems to grow zucchini out their noses, but I am proud. My advice to me for next year, 'if you want to have a good garden, don't have a baby during planting season.';)
Can you believe it I made it to 100. So here are a few photos of what is happening around here with the kids.
Ridge is learning to share. Denali is learning to sit up, with help. Ridge is enjoying the fruits of the summer. Denali is enjoying rolling around.
We took Ridge, for the first time, to a fast food place with the play house. He loved it. I still can't believe that I got my dad to eat fast food.
We also went to Hill Airforce Base, we were going to go to the museum but we got there about 15 minutes before it closed so we just walked around outside. Ridge loved the planes, he is getting so independent, he doesn't want to hold anyone's hand he just wants to walk on his own. He is pretty good about staying with us, well staying where we can see him. Since Ridge was having such a good time, we thought he would enjoy a drive through car wash.
He didn't.
We had a pine wood derby with the young men and young women in the ward and as you can see my car did not race real fast. I guess I can still be a winner because my main goal was to make a car that Ridge would play with. I guess that I should admit it now, I didn't really make it, I had a lot of help (Steve, Emma, Reed). It reminded me of high school shop class where I was only allowed to paint and sand and my teacher made the rest of my projects, but hey they turned out nice.
The whole family went to girl's camp with me. Of course I didn't take many photos, cause that is how I am, I forget, but we had fun. We went to the Island Park Scout Camp. There were so many mosquitos and Ridge took one for the team, he definitely came home with the most bites in our family. We did come home a day early because we got hit by an hour+ long hail storm, afterward we found floating sleeping bags in the tents. Yikes. Our family made it to the van about 2 minutes before the storm started.
Yes, it is true. Adam is a dad. He had a little boy (still no name) today. 6lbs 11 oz and 18 inches long born at 5:37. Everyone is doing well and he sure is a cute baby.
The llamas were invited to go on a field trip to eat down a neighbor's pasture. Let's just say that Pico did not want to get in to the trailer, even though Sweet Daddy Maddison didfinally decide to get in. Pico had a mile and a half guided tour through the neighborhood behind the 3 wheeler.(Steveo was not happy)
